Private charters only

Every trip is your group, your boat, your pace. We do not sell shared rods or mix strangers on the same charter.

Fishing styles

Same waters, different days. Match the style to how you want to fish.

  • Reef & bottom

Live bait, chunks, or jigs on reef, wrecks, and structure — snapper, grouper, amberjack, and jack action closer to shore.

  • Offshore / deep sea

Trolling and jigging the blue for mahi, tuna, wahoo, and marlin — longer runs, heavier tackle.

  • Nearshore

Shorter trips for barracuda, kingfish, and mixed action without a full offshore day — trolling or bottom fishing close in.

  • Family mixed

A relaxed pace with shade and room for the whole crew — reef and nearshore combined.

Where we meet

We meet at Carretera a Punta Sam, Cancún, QR 77500. Hotel transfer may be possible depending on where you stay and how far you are from the dock — ask when you book and tell us your hotel in the notes or on WhatsApp.

Run time is part of your charter clock. Four-hour trips stay close — about 5 miles out. Eight- and ten-hour days can work toward 20 miles.

Common questions

Dockside answers before you book.

How much does a private charter cost?

Price depends on the package and boat. Each trip page shows the full rate and the deposit due online; the balance is settled with the crew before departure.

What is included?

Captain, first officer, rods and tackle, lures, live bait if you want it, drinks (water, sodas, and beer), fishing licenses, and catch cleaning. See each trip for the full list. Snacks, child-sized vests, and crew gratuity are separate.

Is catching fish guaranteed?

No honest charter guarantees a trophy. Cancun is productive water year-round, but weather, bait, and season matter. We fish hard for what the day allows.

Do you offer shared fishing?

No. Fisherman Dreams runs private charters only — better attention, your target species, and no fighting for rods with strangers.

How long a charter do I need?

Four-hour trips stay close — about 5 miles out — for barracuda, reef, and wrecks. Eight- and ten-hour days can run toward 20 miles for mahi, tuna, wahoo, and bigger pelagics. The clock includes the run.

When is the best season?

Fishing runs all year. Winter into spring is prime for sailfish north of Isla Mujeres; late spring and summer bring mahi, tuna, and marlin windows. Reef species are available year-round.

Hotel pickup?

Ask when you book. Transfer can depend on your hotel and how far you are from the Punta Sam dock. We confirm the meeting point and time with you.

Weather & cancellations

Safety comes first. If seas or weather make the trip unsafe, we reschedule or refund your deposit. If you cancel more than 48 hours before departure, your deposit can be moved to another date. Inside 48 hours, deposits are non-refundable unless we cancel for weather.
